The last part of my summer has been given over to reading things I wouldn’t normally dive into. Like Hunter S. Thompson’s columns and books, most of which I hadn’t read. Sure, I had read about Las Vegas and the 1972 election but there were tons of other columns and books and letters that simply didn’t catch my eye.
Otherwise, I have kept my usual reading to a minimum the past couple of weeks. Still, the four suggestions below are meaty. Wendy Mesley’s is an especially worthwhile take on the Lisa LaFlamme issue.
