Being Out can be really easy.

One have one job, which is to get ready to replace In.

When you are on the other side of an election you just lost, though, being Out is harder. Many failed leaders don’t survive long after and election but regardless of that, the Out Party can struggle to find something to say to voters who are usually still happy with the way things settled after the election.

In Newfoundland and Labrador, we are in a very different place than we were in just one short year ago. The opposition Liberals are in the same place as the federal Conservatives.

That puts us all in a different world. Way different. Stranger Things Upside-Down different.

Different but very familiar in some ways.
