Some gems again in this great piece. Like :

1, "When you fail to Plan, you plan to fail". Don't think I heard that before, but so obvious true in all endeavours. Jean Chretien (PM 1993-2003) often repeated "I have a Plan" . He claimed to have honoured 78 % of his election Red Book promises, and had many successes.

2. How Fred Hutton's and Hogan's characters are golden, such that it could wipe out the provincial dept and have cash left over. Makes me smile, so well stated, and they are like clowns.

Your give an excellent detailed insight as to how good governance should work, and why/how so many fail.

Twice you use the term Prime Minister when it seems you mean Premier. I wonder if this intentional or that your mind momentarily when back to when we had Prime Ministers here?

thanks as always, Winston.

it’s 100% intentional for reasons it will become clear in the column in the new year. In fact, it’s so obvious that I spend a bit of time explaining why it’s important.
