Labour force data points to unaddressed issues
Men are more likely to be unemployed than women in every age group in the Newfoundland and Labrador labour forcr. Older men are the hardest hit of all, according to Statistics Canada data on the provincial labour force released last week.
One in every six men (17.9%) aged 55 years or more in the provincial labour force was unemployed in March 2023.
