Lazy Sunday morning.
Rain.
On the Facebook, Dave Brazil, Conservative candidate in Sin Jawns East has nothing better to do the day before the final counting day in the federal election than to push back on a thread in which I’d pointed out the idea of doubling oil production offshore was nonsense.
Not possible.
A lie.
A lie when the provincial Liberals pushed it a decade ago - right after pledging to end government dependence on oil - and still a lie now.
Not about finding more oil, sez Brazil. Just open the taps more. “Doubling production is linked to extracting more of the oil already discovered and enhancing additional oil fields which have already been identified,”
And of course I must be wrong, Brazil added, because Energy NL - they “re-branded” when the hydrogen scam was big - and the provincial Liberals all say it’s possible even though in the decade since the Libs pushed it, there’s less oil produced despite it apparently being that easy to pull more out of the ground.
