It’s a Monday long weekend in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The column writing is off this week as we are taking ‘er easy, expecting the arrival of the Sister-in-Law this week for a quick visit.
Rather than crank out a column, here is something light for you to enjoy.
Buddy Wassisname’s gravel pit song to start out. Bit light and fun.
Then try another gravel pit courtesy of Wu Tang Clan.
Le’s just say a very different vibe.
To tune you up for what’s coming Wednesday, check out last year’s very popular column on Newfoundland identity. It’s from the archives so you’ll need to be a paying subscriber to get it.
Right on the heels of that, let me plug Daveberta who also writes about provincial politics and, like your humble e-scribbler, made the move to Substack. I’ve been reading him for years and this one on Alberta separatists is a good introduction to the way his head works.
No need to overload things.
Enjoy the last of the weekend.
We’ll be back to regular programming on Wednesday and the cycle of three days a week (Mon-Wed-Fri).
